Alliance & Leicester Premier Direct Account

Hi, I applied online on Sunday for a Alliance & Leicester Premier Direct Account and I got an email back to say that my application had been received and I would hear back within 24hrs, and now today I get another email that says "Your application is being considered, we will notify you with a decision via email within the next 48 hours".
Is this normal, and good or bad ?.
Thanks.

I'd say don't bother, I've had an awful experience iwth A&L and I've not opened my account yet!0

Sounds normal to me, the same happened when I opened mine and everything ran very smoothly.
As Alx B says, sounds like the first email was automated and now they are actually working on it for you.
Had no problems since I opened mine over a year ago and the only advice I would have, is the common sense of keeping a check on your direct debits when they do the switching to make sure they are all moved and they are all right (I had no problems).0
