  • Thanks to you all for your help.

The DVDs I am after are the Baby Einstein series if you do a search on ebay under Baby Einstein they come up with 17 or 18 DVDs in a box set saying either NTSC or suitable for all DVD players.

I don't want to spend £40 ish on a box set if it is dodgy or won't play, but they always look a great deal, and a friend of mine has a box set she bought from ebay which plays, so I know it is possible, but not terribly techie!

    Thanks again for your help

    I see what you mean.

I have very good eyesight  and I can see from the back of one of the boxes that they are NTSC disks with "all" region encoding (region 0).

They don't seem to sell on play.com or playusa.com, but they do seem to be genuine.

As long as the seller says somewhere in their listing that it is a genuine copy, and the seller has 100% positive feedback, you should be fine (like this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-BABY-EINSTEIN-18-Disc-Factory-Sealed_W0QQitemZ6447036284QQcategoryZ41529QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem).

I'm assuming your TV is relatively newish. DVD players nearly all play NTSC disks. You might want to borrow one from your friend if possible to check, but I would be pretty sure they will.

Post the make and model here if you want someone to check (oddly, it is major brands like Sony and Panasonic that are more likely to have trouble than £20 Kwik-Save ones).

    Hope that helps!

Should do, but you might wanna check if you could borrow a disk from someone.

Or, have a look in the instruction manual or on the plate on the back of the TV with the smallprint for any mention.

I would guess that 95% chance it probably will work fine!
