Hi there, can anyone tell me where I could get cheap tickets to see Wicked the musical, I'm hoping to go on Monday 25th Augaust or Tuesday 26th, My SIL is having DS & DD2 to stay so I have 2 free days :j and I've decided to treat myself to a trip to London
and would love to catch this show. I know there is a discount ticket booth somewhere, but would this be the best way to get a ticket or not.
Would appreciate your help.:j

The half priced ticket booth is in Leicester Square http://www.officiallondontheatre.co.uk/tkts/leicester_square/
I dont think they can sell the Wicked Tickets though. We searched for cheap ones and ended up paying full price. If its any consolation it was worth it!
Look at http://www.theatremonkey.com/ for great advice."Thou shalt not forget that money is only money and not character or fame.”

Go to the Apollo theatre on the day of the show for when box office opens at 10am (queue starts about 8.30am) and they sell the best tickets for £25 on the day. Great show.0

The £25 seats are day seats and are row A in the stalls - good value but you do tend to get a crick in your neck! I haven't been to see Wicked yet but have bought day seats for different shows in the past, if you can get into London early to queue they are worth considering.
Wicked has a huge range of seat prices - I have just had a look on Ticketmaster and on your dates you can get a seat for £20 which is row O in the stalls - it is probably restricted view though but looks like a bargain.
So if you know which day you are going I would suggest that you ring the box office direct and see what the cheapest decent seat you can get is, I have always found the staff at box offices to be really helpful - they will know exactly what the difference between seat O44 at £20 and seat O43 at £50 is (you can get a diagram of the seat prices and some good information on the theatremonkey site)
The last 2 weeks in August are 'Kids Week' so there might be lots of children at the performance.0 -
Watch out for loads of booths around Leicester Square calling themselves something like The Official Half Price Tickets Booth, or something very similar. They are not cheap and their names are very misleading!!!.....0

Lastminute.com are pretty good. My son got 2 top price tickets for Chicago for £25 each & they were front row seats.
