Tiny white slugs

Went out in the garden on Friday night and picked up 30+ tiny white slugs off the lawn (they didn't seem to be anywhere but the lawn). Are these likely to be baby ones (in which case I should have a few less next year) or have I found some kind of new mutant creature. They do seem to move very quickly - I'm afraid all are now deceased!

Nope they don't have the breathing hole at the end - its in the middle so they are just plain field slugs - I think I might have to try a large dose of nematodes when they are next suitable for application to try and get the garden population down a bit.Adventure before Dementia!0
