Do you collect Tesco Clubcard points as you can use them to pay for OU courses now?

I don't know any other sources but others on here will.

Have you checked on the OU's website to see if you're eligible for any help with the fees? It's based on household income and there's an online calculator you can use.

I would check the OU as previously stated.

Also, I don't suppose anyone can give you an honest assessment without knowing more of your personal circumstances.

When you fill out the forms for funding they also look to see if your entitled to a learning grant too. Just keep an eye out for forms etc from them. Also if you have any disabilities / illnesses or need your books in different formats they're very good at helping just make sure you tell them if you have any extra requirements.

You can also get an NUS extra card which although some people on this site don't particularly rate for the £10 outlay it does come in handy and I personally have saved more money than the £10 and will be getting another to help with christmas shopping this year too.

PS What course are you doing? I'm just finishing A103 Introduction to humanities and am about to start A210 introducing literature in september.
Thankyou to all the posters of competitions

The adult learning grant only applies for courses at leve 2 and 3, not for degree level study. You don't get any help with living costs because you will be studying part time and can carry on keeping yourself by the same means that were in place before you started studying ie work or benefits.
