Any country that has it's currency and fuel supplies tied in with the American system is going to have a hard time of it as their fuel prices are rising. If there's anything that will annoy Americans it's their fuel prices rising, but they have been kept artificially low for many years.It is the Caribbean I am looking at, so priced in dollars it should not have gone up so dramatically or is it the oil issue which is causing a price rise?
Cany travellers often book for the following year direct with the hotel before they check-out.
This is particularly true if you need accomodation for particular weeks or events.
Just as an example, the hotel I worked at used to be full every year for the Grand National. Everyone made their reservations for the following year before they checked out and we were always able to 'black out' that weekend a year in advance.0
