Good Morning everybody:hello: :hello: :hello:

Hope you don't mind me starting the thread today - I think PaP's working, kizzy is on holiday and, as I'm waiting for the phone, I've got a bit of time this morning.
So come on everyone - post your spends. If you're on holiday, you can still post, but it's more important that you have a good break, so we'll all understand if you can't post.

Same old rule - the only one :rolleyes: ;
'Keep it Low'
Edit: It is, in fact, now Tuesday, but as some had already posted in the Monday thread, I have altered the title to include today, so this thread is for Monday and Tuesday - hope that makes sense.

Have a great day everyone

I spent in total £11.01, taking me way over the amount I thought I would spend for the week, there is always next week to start again and I don't think I will be increasing the amount I spend this week by any more thankfully.

    NSD for me today yay!

OH used to be useless at money-saving... a few months ago he would buy a cd/dvd/computer game every week, as well as warcraft models, a five pound pc magazine and a takeaway EVERY WEEK  but now he's completely changed - today we put an NSD chart on the fridge to see how many we can each get this month so I'm really proud of him! (Just thought I'd share the happiness!)

Have to come on to confess..

    Coz I have sinned..

Called in at co-op ; decided I was justified in buying carrots to add to home made casserole.

    ALso bought-

    1. Chicken
    2. sausages
    3. chocolatey thing which turned out to be a muffin covered with chocolate mousse and chocolate sauce.

Ok; the total bill (including milk which I did need) came to £4.11 as items 1,2 and 3 were reduced down by a lot (at lease two thirds off) I didn't need them and I have loads in the freezer.

Not to start a philosophical discussion but is this (with the exception of the chocolate thing) bad or good spending?
  • Planning on a NSD for me today too today. Going home for lunch (instead of nipping to Mr Tescos) and have sausage casserole defrosting for my dinner which was a previous Slow Cooker batch. Aiming for another NSD tomorrow by making my packed lunch tonight and 'slow-cooking' again tomorrow. Might be frozen veg though as we don't have any fresh veg in until I do the 'big shop' but holding out for that until the weekend if I can help it! :j

Now, peb - my view may differ, slightly, from the view of others (they are perfectly entitled to their view - as long as they don't express it - only joking). - What can possibly be wron with chocolate?

At least what you have in the freezer is not going to 'go off' and you can use it another day.
As long as you haven't left yourself short, and the reductions were genuine, then it sounds as though you did well.
