without sounding like a knob, you do have a cd writer yes?
if you have a cd writer then the chances are it came with some basic recording software, if not and you want something other than windows xp cd copy, down load nero 6 from ahead software, it is VERY easy to use, will convert mp3 into wav. ( normal music files) and will do everything you could wish for.what is the plural of moose?

Totally agree about Nero...haven't produced a single 'coaster' since using it (unlike WMP!)♥♥♥ Genius - 1% inspiration and 99% doing what your mother told you. ♥♥♥0 -
Not forgetting WMP10 converts to mp3 also
