Credit Card Direct Debit not been taken from account

I have an asda credit card and have been paying the full balance each month by direct debit.

The amount of over £1300 was meant to come out of my bank account today. It hasnt and I have called the bank to find out if it is coming out tomorrow but they have said nothing is showing to come out tomorrow or today for that amount.

I have checked my online statement with Asda and it is showing as direct debit received - Thank you and this is for the correct amount.

Please help - do I call asda and tell them that the money hasnt debited my bank account? or just leave it and see?

This has never happened before and I dont know whether its Asda's fault or my banks.

Many Thanks

No this has happened to me, asda shows it as received - bank account balance shows it has not left, but it will tally up sometime today. when is the due date for payment. not that it matters because asda are showing it as been payed..

The statement said it was due 3rd August, so would have come out of the account today.

Its just I have been paying it like this for the past year and this has never happened before.

I dont want to be charged with a late payment fee.

Sometimes DD payment dates at the receiving end show the day they are inputted into the BACS system - the money will come out 3 working days later. So it could leave up to potentially Wed/Thur.

I called them and they said they have definatly received the payment from my bank. So there isnt really much I can do apart from wait and see if it comes out of my bank account.

Ive never had this problem in the last 2 years of paying Asda. It has always gone out of my bank account on the date stated on the statement or if it falls at the weekend it comes out normally on the following Monday.

I had Skycard fail to take 2 DDs from me last year on my 0% purchases card. The first month I rang them and they appologised and refunded the late fee. The next month I got charged a late fee and interest, because the previous month's missed payment had knocked off the promotional 0%. They restored everything back to normal after another phone call.
