Comet - Grrr

Bought new vacumm from comet back in june 07, 2 days later the adjuster for lenght on pipe broke off, went back immediately got replaced. Now today the hose pipe rubber part started to come apart, rang comet customer services (using No to 0870 website) was told that that part was not under 1 year gurantee and immediately starting giving out parts telephone. I said no thanks and went on web and found a way to fix rubber hose split by applying duck tape around it and getting a slim clamp around it for security. Worked fine and still is. P.S the part cost 11.99 new.

Now ive got a question? I bought a 42" lcd tv from comets november 07 and have recently found faults with left side speaker giving vibrating noises and headphone socket intermittently works.

I want to know if i can get immediate replacement because im still in my one year gurantee and also I have 2 children who need their daily Scooby doo intake and cannot afford to be without tv if comet decide it needs repairing.

Or can i simply hand it in and go for a equivalent tv because i was expecting more from this model?

Thanks in advance.

they'll fix it rather than replace it. and it won't be immediate.
Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?

    Love that point!

You're not entitled to take it back and exchange it for another tv simply because the one you bought does not meet your expectations. You can get a repair if there is a fault but you'll have to be without a tv, possibly for weeks.

Comet will try to repair the television at your home first. If they cannot repair it at your home it will be taken to the service department to be repaired there. Unfortunatly you can't demand a replacement if the unit can be repaired.
