Hi all,
I was wondering if any of you know any good website design software that uses templates but isn't Dreamweaver or Frontpage.
I've experience using Dreamweaver, but I don't have it, nor can I afford to buy it (it's over £300!). Frontpage is out because I need something that works on a Mac.
Essentially, I have a few websites I look after (I'm not paid for this) and think it would be easier for updating if I could add one thing and instantly get it added to all the pages.
I've been using nVU so far, and I like it very much, but it doesn't seem to offer any form of template options - where one set layout updates the design for all pages..etc. CSS it does, and that's fine - but I like the idea that when I add a page, it automatically gets linked from the others.
I'm on a Mac and I notice iWeb 08 does use templates, but it doesn't seem to be possible to create them, unless I'm missing something?
There's something called RapidWeaver I found which is affordable, but again - it comes with a set of templates and if you want to make your own, they don't seem to make it very straight forward.
Anyone come across something good and reasonably priced?

Its been a while so you prob have made a decision already, but you can have a totally empty rapidweaver template, I think you do have to buy it but its worth while...the template is called totallyempty!0 -
I didn't know that about Rapidweaver.
Actually I started using php includes, then started looking at content management systems.
I eventually switched to Wordpress, with a free template from their site, which I heavily modified. Wasn't as easy as I'd hoped for, and I did need to manually edit php or css which isn't what I'd have ideally liked, but it works very well now.0
