Camcorder needed for charity event

we are having a fun weekend to raise money for local autistic kids in the area and we would like to video it so everybody can watch it again especially the kids. Does anyone know of any deals going about or where i can get a cheap one.
It has to be a dvd one
The event starts on friday so i haven't got much time

I'm just wondering if you know anyone who's already got such a camcorder who'd be prepared to come and use it for you? maybe a media studies student, if you have any colleges offering such courses? I know they'll probably have broken up, but some may have noticeboards / email systems which could be used to contact students.

Ask your local Volunteer Centre to put out a request for someone to record this for you.

t sure if it helps but Staples (the stationers) have an online offer at the moment. Order £35 worth of items and get a free camcorder. They also do next day delivery so could get it by weekend if your quick.

I realise its for a charity and charity event but just a guess even the charity needs stationery and office equipment? You will then also have a basic camcorder for future events.

Alternatively you could try your local electrical giant and explain to them about what you plan? Maybe they could help with a managers discount in return for 'advertising' their donation?
