Mobile Phone Sim Card

Hi
I have a Motorola L6 mobile phone which came with a sim card which had £10 "free" credit on it.
I still had my other sim card`s credit to use up so continued using that. Well today it finally ran out and I put the new card in to get the £10 worth credit etc, but I cannot make or receive a call and the screen display says "unregistered sim".
Does anyone know what I should do to get it to work? I have looked through the manual and not had this trouble before.
I am on O2 network btw.

unregistered sim usually means that the sim has been cut off from the network and the number will be recycled to be given to another sim0

You need to phone up the network the SIM belongs to and register it. When PAYG SIM cards come through, they need to be "activated" or "registered" as it were.0
