portable speakers for an old sony walkman?

Seen these cheap (and probably quite tinny) small, portable speakers on sale at amazon for mp3 players etc. But how can you get them to work with the radio side when they connect via the headphone socket?. Because the areal for the radio is in the headphone cable which also requires the same socket. Any adaptors or solutions?
I'm talking about an old and perfectly working walkman radio/cassette player and I wish to listen to FM radio via portable speakers and not the cassette player.
