I believe that the standard regulated cost of an eye test is now £25. Are you telling me that you are on the internet but cant amass £25 for something as critical as your eyesight? You are not obliged to purchase specs from the optician. Just obtain your script and leave. Its not a problem.

I'm sure I read in this month's Tesco magazine that all eye tests are free this September. They did announce it on the Tannoy in my local store yesterday.

Aren't there some lovely people on this forum. I get my eye tests free as I've reached the magical age but I thought this was such a lovely gesture. Good on you daviddonna.
