  • I had a free eye test done in January at Tesco's they announced over the tannoy that they were offering them for free. Have heard it a couple of times since. I guess it depends if they have apppointments or not and if your local branch has an opticians in it! I also got a free eye test voucher through the post with nectar card points as I do not use it - it has my name on and says it is not transferable otherwise you could have had it. There is a half price voucher on the D and A website so amounts to £13.75. Hope that helps. I get my glasses online too.

They can't force you to purchase their spectacles. Just ask for the prescription.

Search this forum; I've seen one in the last day or so for a free eye test at D&A. My husband got one there before, and they gave him the prescription to take where he would.

Just move to Scotland.......where all eye tests are free (you did say anywhere);)
  • From the other thread, the current M&S instore mag has a coupon for a free D&A eye test.
  • I am not sure if everyone gets this but when I applied for Boots Health Card ( which is free and which entitles you to discounts off health products in store) I also received some vouchers and one was for a free eye test.
I havent seen it mentioned on here before but worth joining Boots health Club.
