No I don't think so and I know it is a strange one to post but you never know on this forum. I've found so much help on different things!

Is she sitting at the correct height? Could be a posture/ergonomic thing. If it has been happening a lot then she should see a doctor. (Could be infection, ear wax etc).

A very good point and just come across this link below but don't think so. She's just taken some paracetamol and said that she will make a doctors appointment in the morning. It could be a coincidence to do with time in the evening, just after eating dinner and sitting at the PC around the same time??

Could be but could simply be that sitting upright in that position is exacerbating whatever existing problem it is so it is the computer in an indirect way.

What about eye strain? Is she subconsciously squinting and tensing herself up? There are different types of migraine. You could try adjusting the brightness and ambient light levels, so she's not staring at a bright screen in a dark room. Might be worth an eye test to see if she needs glasses or if she already wears them, the prescription is right.

You also don't say if you're using a CRT or LCD, I found that I can hear the high pitched whistle of a dodgy TV/CRT, and that gives me a tinnitus like effect.

    Hi Belnahua
All good points for us to look at. She has a new laptop since which she has found the problem but before, with PC, no problem.

Check your monitor settings as the refresh rate could be causing motion sickness - which is an ear problem initially. Its very noticeable when fast moving images (ie during games especially) or maybe even just with windows.
