Hiya
Sorry i've not caught up with the thread at all. Hugs to all that need or want them. I've been working for four hours today and hand, wrist etc all fine. Hopefully i'm still up for starting back at work properly on the 4th September. I'll ask at my appointment on Monday. Lots of flying done today. Starting getting things ready for packing. Actually getting excited now. Think i'll go and have a little read of the thread.
Speak soon xx0 -
Oh lord! I nearly died! She asked me to get her necklace from the drawer by the bed but didnt say which drawer! Common sense says start at the top right. Wish I hadn't!!:o It had faces on each end! And 2 bottles of ky and a load of viagra! Still hope i'm up for that when i'm 65!!!:o
and I wonder if she has ever thought you went in there in search of the necklace!!!Don't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli
Thank you to all who post competitions & help the smooth running of the comps board0 -
Tootti - they are not nasty nor are they your normal phishing/viagra type spam email. They are purporting to be from the Chairman of the organisation my email address is very close to. I have saved a sample of them (the sample I've read all say the same thing, the sample I've read all come from the same 'mail error' handler address, they just have different send-to email addresses and I'm not sure they are even being sent to those email addresses they are just being sent as though they were bounced back if you see what I mean). I will get in touch with the organisation on Monday and have a chat with them about it.... I might even get the press involved
Sounds like someone's got a virus on their mailserver, and your address might have been in their address book. Might be worth asking for more details on the techie board.
You've all been an inspiration to me, and as I'd decided to have a quiet weekend in after a shattering couple of weeks at work, I've been motivated to start tunnelling through the mess and dealing with the towers of overdue paperwork and ironing. I might even be able to find something to wear to work on Monday for a change0 -

How about a lovely Chinese instead of shepherds pie - you might be waiting a while for it to defrost! (Cant tell you the number of times I have done the same)
Awww bless! lol. I defrosted it in the microwave in the end :-) It's all on almost ready to go in the oven in 10 when the potatoes (mash-to-be) are done.0 -
I love you lot. I come in from having a s@it day at work and you make me laugh so much. What with underwear drawers and "toy" drawers.
I cant remember who now but someone mentioned being messy. I hadnt even been at work two minutes and realised I had spilt porridge down my t shirt at home. We have these clear plastic aparons at work I think I need to wear one of those.
rach Thats good news on the money. Hope you have closure on that situation now.
Mr Shatterd Happy Birthday :bdaycake:
RMC Congrats on your 1st wedding anniversary.
tiamai_d Sounds like exciting times ahead good luck with your venture.
Soappie Hope you get the e mail situation sorted what a nightmare for you.0 -
Sarah – the beetroot was gorgeous thank you.
Pigpen – you love me really – now behave and stop spitting in my children’s drinks!! And believe me, that was no whoopee cushion…it’s all genuine fart power here…too much fruit me thinks!
Froddington – I never meant to rejoin the club believe me!!! I’d much rather have not had to repay my subs! Oh well, guess we ought to have some perks to this club so, as self appointed president, I’m giving all members the weekend off!!
Tooti – couldn’t agree more about the smear! GO AND GET IT DONE GIRLS!!!
Rebekah - that's classic!!!
Tia - congratualations on your new enterprise. Bet you're really excited!!
Soappie - nightmare about the emails and hello to you.
Everyone else - hello!!
Right, thats my lot, finger is clicking like a clicky thing. Have I escaped piggers tonight??? :T :T :T
Night xx :rotfl:0 -
Greenbee - I'm certain it's not a virus thing. I'm becoming more and more convinced that it's some sort of Denial of Service attack (in my original posting whilst frantically deleting, I said DNS, I meant DoS).
The email address it's all arriving at is one I have never used to send an email with and one that doesn't appear on my website (so it couldn't have been harvested from there) and one that returns zero results if you google it. But, one that is valid and that, intuitively, could be used if someone took an vaguely educated guess when sending something to a generic/standard email address (e.g. webmaster@somewhere - though it's not that!).
Thanks for the suggestion of the techy board - I'll pop over there now and ask...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

I don't know if this will help you, ...let the thoughts run their course but in the back of your mind and use the front of your mind to concentrate on your breathing, in pause out pause, not changing it but just being aware of the rythm of your breathing.
Or maybe I'm just a weirdo! :T
Tia I could kiss youThanks... that sound like a good idea. I'll try that next time
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
