Hi all,
Just had an email from Hotel Chocolat about their end of season selection for £7....
Each box contains:
• At least 500g of chocolates and other house specialities (includes a mix of slabs and individual chocolates).
• A balanced selection made up of items we wish to clear, including milk, dark and white chocolates and a mixture of tastes and textures although this will vary depending on what is available to clear

Official MoneySavingExpert.com Insert:
While £10.95 for 500g of chocolate may seem steep (p&p for this selection is £3.95) if you or a friend are a Hotel Chocolat addict then this may be just right for you. Stocks aren't huge so get in quick if you're going to get some. As it's an End of Season selection there's no nice packaging but if you're buying it as a gift just spend some pennies on a cheap box and ribbon at a pound shop or similar and Bob's your uncle.
Also remember, as it's an end of line box, the chocolates you get may be any kind, likely ones that aren't so popular. MoneySavers below have noted theirs have included mainly liqueurs which they've not liked so if you don't want to take the risk then don't be tempted.

They just send you a code to your email address & despite the original post being back in 2005 I just tried it & it worked.
Postage goes up to £4.95 with more than 1 item (which I did to make it worthwhile) lol £30 on chocolate eek lol how do I justify that for 3 boxes lol.
Hugs
HelenWe don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

Just to let people know - you do get quite a bit - works out about £18 worth. BUT....depends if you like alcoholic flavours. We bought 2 boxes thinking we'd get a good mix but ended up with the majority being dark liquor chocs (including these horrid ones with figs and vodka!) with only a few milk ones included :-( So I ended up giving most of mine away.0

This happened to us once with one of their end of season deals. We complained to them that it was not the "balanced selection" as described and they refunded what we had paid for them (didn't have to return anything!!):j0 -
The three boxes I ordered just turned up:
1 bag Kir Royal Truffles
2 x Packs (6 pieces) Capuccino Truffles
1 x Marzipan
1 x Kid's choc (2 bars?)
1 x Pack chocolate (fruit and nut) canape
- All three boxes had the same contents0 -

I had exactly the same with the 2 boxes I ordered & I emailed them to complain but just got an apology saying that they tried to send out a mix of whatever they had left - no refund or repacement0
