Increase credit score???

How do I increase my credit score if the following is the case......... I have 1 credit card 3 catalogues but have bad previous debts therefore keep getting rejected for credit due to credit score.

Is this rectifiable, is it true my bad debt history will clear in 10-15 years or will I always be a credit liability in the eyes of the credit lenders?

It will take 6 years for the bad history to fall off your report. Are they all "satisfied" or are their outstanding balances?

If all settled there affect on your rating will diminish the more time passes. Maybe get a Sub prime card like Vanquis and spend small amounts and pay off in full before due date and this with time will rebuild your rating.
