Hello all

Please give me advice, I have an Abbey credit card and am working very hard to pay off the balance. I have recently requested that they reduce my interest, which they have done.

What are the chances that they will reduce it further? current rate is 19.9% and it is killing me!!

I am plucking up the courage to call and request a further reduction in the interest rate. Any advice on how I should speach them?

All feedback appreciated.

  • Are you using the card at all or just paying it back?
If the latter then by all means telephone them as you have nothing to lose.
If your credit history is any good why not try for a 0% card and do a balance transfer?
