If you're getting 4GB of RAM then you want to make sure that you're getting the 64bit version of Vista to ensure you use it to it's full potential.
What games are you playing btw?0 -
Well i was only getting 4GB of ram as i was told it would help vista run better but i will enquire about that. I am mainly play comand and conquer style games. Currently playing command and conquer 3 on a friends laptop that has similar specs and it seems to run ok.0

That should be fine even over the top in terms of speed. You will only have 3.2Gb availble for Vista 32bit, to use more you need 64bit and also 64bit software/programs.
Just try and check the game are supported by all the hardware and not run to fast!0 -
On some of the games i have looked at it says '(32-bit - 64-bit versions of Vista are not supported)' does this mean it would not run at all ?0
-
C&C takes a LOT of ram up. I can't play C&C with Vista, Antivirus and that on 2GB....
From what I can remember C&C3 takes up about a gig of ram on its own....0 -

Which games? Usually that means it won't work.0 -
it says that on command and conquer 3 according to play.com0
-
Well I can play, but it does crash, but I thought that was because of memory...?0
-
the vista is 32Bit...0
