I think that you might find that you're wrong about who's done the job properly!
Same here, ive got inverter split units, these ramp up and down depending on the load required to cool/heat the room. so rather than using full power to cool the room 1c, it uses a small ammount, it reduces power to the compressor as the set temperature is achieved.
