Tesco prices vary within a district

Just noticed the price of a couple of my regular purchases varying at 2 Tesco stores 1 mile apart. T's recently put the 500g Marmite up to £4.60 as did my local Asda but Sainsburys and Morrisons kept the previous price circa £3.80. Now one T's back at £3.80 but the other is still at £4.60. Worth shopping around if you have 2 T's locally.

Whats the price through the till? I bet the £4.60 label has just not been changed. Meaning you'd get charged £3.80.

There are some on here though who point blank refuse to believe that sometimes the SEL is higher than the till price, not mentioning any names!

This is common practice by the supermarket chains. Their prices on the same product will vary from store to store depending on how much competition there is in the immediate vicinity.

It depends on the type of Tesco too. Tesco Express and Metro tend to have higher prices than Tesco Extra.
Here I go again on my own....

If we were in a 'normal' price climate I'd agree but prices are up and down almost daily. There was a 70p wholemeal loaf, or 3 for £1.50, which I only saw at one branch.

It's the first time in years I've actually seen a Marmite price come down. Saying 'no' may have worked.
