Creating a screensaver

Hi. I've made a 'movie' using holiday pics and I'm trying to set it as a screensaver on my laptop. I have the movie in both Windows Movie Maker Project and Windows Media Audio/Visual file formats. The problem seems to arise when I try to set my screensaver when I get a message saying 'Photo Screensaver can't start as there are only videos in your selection'. There only seems to be the option to select 'Photos'
Can anyone help please? I know it is possible as I did it with my last set of holiday pics and they work very well. I just wish I could remember how I did it!
Thanks
PS
I'm using Vista (if that has any relevance)

Can't you just use the pics as a screensaver? Why do you need to convert them to a movie?0

Download google pack and install photo screensaver and you can choose which folders to take the photo's from. It works with lots of different formats and with vista.0

I've already done this. It just gives some snazzy transitions between the pics and means they run togethr as a slide show rather than having one picture as the screensaver.somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0 -

I think I need to create a folder with my pics back as JPEGs as it doesn't seem to like video as a format. But this will then work I think....... shame I can't show the transitions though.somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0
