Help on creating a website please!

Today I have been given the task of creating a website for our tour to Canada in October. It will need to have an overview, itinerary, photo gallery, scoreboard, guestbook etc on it.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of doing this? Never done it before!!! Don't particularly want a free site with lots of hosting etc but could do with pointers for the best site to go with.

I will be taking my laptop on the tour with me so I can update it on a daily basis.....

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

PS - I hold the tour account card so if I need to pay a little money then I can - as long as I can account for everything!!!

    Give Google Sites a try:

  • Is google sites the same as Googlepages?

If not then try that as well. It is free and very easy to update.

Google have stopped signing people up to Google Pages as they say they want to concentrate on Google Sites:

  • I had not heard of Google sites. It sounds interesting. I have a Googlepages site for my squash club.

Is Google Sites better/easier, etc.? Is it worth changing over to it from Googlepages?

It seems to have more features, but it looks as though you're going to be moved over eventually, whether you want to or not. ;)
  • Thanks everyone! I have had a look at the video on the google sites and it seems really easy for what we are looking for! It is really so everyone can see what we are up to and how well (badly!) we are doing at curling against the Canadians!!!

Thanks for your help so far, and any further advice greatly appreciated!!!
