Lloyds tsb balance transfer

Options
I am a current Lloyds credit card customer and recently got a letter with an offer to transfer balances at 0% for 6 months. At the time I didn't want to transfer any and threw the letter away, but now I have a balance I would like to transfer.

I phoned Lloyds and asked if I could do the 0% transfer but was told without the promotional code on the letter it was not available to me!!! They couldn't find out the code from their marketing dept either so I told them to stuff it.

Does anyone have such a code as I don't want to apply for any more credit cards as I have had loads of interest free offers over the years on balance transfers and my credit scoring will be affected??

I had the same thing to be honest, but I managed to find it. There is a specific number to ring for the offer and you must quote the reference, as stated.

I dont have mine anymore, but it said the offer would expire on September 30th

So they sent you a letter offering zero percent but you decided to throw the offer away, then you phone them up after you felt you could now use the offer and threw your toys of your play pen becaue a promotional code was needed. They are unable to assist so you tell them to stuff it.

Well I hope their reply was something similiar to your comments.

You threw the offer away so basically you are the one stuffed!
  • hi. I received that offer and took it up but agree mine was to be acted upon by the end of Sept. However they can offer a reduced or nil percent BT over the phone without any promo code as I've done that in the past as well. I think it tends to depend on how often you use the card, whether you've recently cleared your balance with them etc.
