First tax credit enquiry letter now Jobcentre compliance home visit

I have rang the compliance officer this morning. He says a query has arisen over when I last worked and my incapacity benefit.

I do supported permitted work of 16hours a week - He says this is not on the system however I was helped with this at my work focused interview!

He is going to write to me to let me know what info he needs. I have rang me ex-employer this morning and asked for a salary account statement to show what I received from them in 2006/2007 - I guess this was raised from the tax credit enquiry

The man was very nice and said it is not an urgent investigation - Do you think they say this to put you in a state of false sense of security? I am totally paranoid and checking (again) all of my information.

To top if off the tax credit people have paid me £200.00 this morning - I have rang them to ask why! They just said it is following the annual review!

I so wish I was out of this benefit system - I am trying my hardest to do gradual work and this has just sent me into total panic.

He said he will come out and get me to show him my details and sign a statement - what does that mean?

Just wondered how this had gone for you.
I to have received these compliance letters for 06/07 and 07/08, I'm not worried about it to be honest because everything on my claim is 100% true so i feel that its just and unfortunate thing that i was picked up so that they can meet their targets.
I have until the 22nd september to respong with all of the info so i guess mines just a waiting game.
