Any discounts on Alton Towers Hotels?

I really want to take the kids to Alton Towers during the beginning of the Summer holidays but I don't think I can cope with the long queues. I saw from an advert that if you stay at one of the Alton Towers hotels you get to queue jump! I thought that was a great idea until I saw how much it cost to stay for one night at these places! 
Does anyone know if there is a way of getting a stay discounted (by a lot?!!).?

you can go on sunday 18th july B&B for up to 4 people in one room for £99, there are also £15 entry tickets. looks like the rest of july and august rooms are £149 but tix are still £15.
