I have heard a lot of comments about bad CS at Abbey so i thought I would post my own experiences.
Applied for Abbey Zero and got my agreement within 10 working days.
Signed, returned and card received within 5 working days.
Initial limit was set at £1000 too low for what i wanted.
Wrote to underwriters at:
Credit Card Underwriters
Abbey House
AAMG15
210 Grafton Gate East
MK9 1AN
enclosing card statements from other banks showing a higher limit.
Within 5 working days they had increased my limit to £4500 and I was well satisfied.
Had to ring them again for minor online problems and the service I received was top notch. Well happy and as long as they don't emulate MBNA in the future I will be happy to call myself a happy Abbey customer for a long time into the future.
Well done Abbey
National and Santander
Glad you ditched MBNA (loan sharks)

Hi Nick
Became aware of this problem a short while ago and hamiltonL saying it was from the beginning of the month application was received. I agree this effectively makes it a 5 month offer and not 6. However, from my own personal position this was a minor annoyance although I can see how it makes a big difference to some people and would not like to say anything that would trivialise your or their arguement.
BTW I would like to wish HamiltonL the best of luck for his future F1 career.0 -
Thanks. Well I'm Hungary for success this weekend!
Usually if you're nice, the underwriters will increase the limit like they did with Beth's account. I don't think they would appreciate a mass rush of appeals though.
I expect the 0% expires when Big Ben chimes for 2009.0
