6.75% Bond

Hey,

I'm thinking about saving some money in a bond (only like £1000) but is a fixed rate bond a good or bad idea? They come in 1/2/3yrs all at the same rate or should I just stick to my 6.51% instant access but obv not fixed.

Sorry it was more the question of, are interest rates gonna go up so after a few years i'm not getting as much as i could or they likely to go down?

if you've got a lump sum now chuck it in icici at 7.2% or whatever. if you need to drip feed over the year then a normal saving account is obviously better. right now now saving account is paying 7.2%, it doesn't matter if they'll go up in a years time.
