Thanks Polo, that sounds a better option to me! So I will subscribe then see the tick - thats fab - now just one more query, so I know see my blue tick, and then when comp ending thread comes up, and these comps are then added to the ending thread will I be able to see it easy in that thread so I do not repeat entry?
Thanks

Hi Compers!
I started comping in the last 2-3 weeks and had a HUGE slice of beginers luck and won fab prize from NOTW :j (still waiting for cheque!)
Now initially I have only entered the comps ending thread... I understand that these comps are often running some time before they end on this thread, do you check that you can have multiple entries (as don't want to be disqualified !) - or do you mainly do dailies and comps ending -any tips greatfully received -

When you view the comps ending list yu won't be able to see the blue ticks - all I do is open each comp up in a new tab and click th thread tools option again - if it states "unsubscribe" it means I have already subscribed..... if it says "subscribe" it means it is a comp I have yet to enter
I hope that makes sense to you :rotfl:(its easier than scrolling to see if you have thanked the post as the thread tools are at the top of the page readily available to view as soon as you open the post)
It's the only way I can deal with all the comps.. perhaps somene has a better way? However, this is the most efficient way I find, but obviously it depends on personal preferences:D

Wow, well done in your win !
I too am a newbie for comping and it's interesting reading all your posts. I did read Velvetglove's thread on getting started and as she suggested I tried to subscribe to the Competitions Forum to receive a daily email showing all the new posts. Unfortunately it only arrived for two days and has now stopped for some reason. Anyone else had the same problem ?? I even tried changing my email address to see if that worked.
Been at the comps for about a month and had a couple of small wins, but am finding it very addictive and am spending hours at the computer. I am struggling to get a good system going and find I'm entering using the Comps Ending thread mainly and then doing odd ones from the dailies and regulars and newly posted threads, but am struggling to find an organised way of doing it all and so I know I am missing many comps.
Anyone got any good organisational tips ?

Thanks Polo
I get it now, your system seems pretty good! Out interest how long do you spend comping each day??June - Watch0 -
Congrats broadpaws, very good start, should do nice for xmas coming up!

I started comping on the 19th of July last month & have done afew everyday when i've had time, mainly the comp ending ones at the end of the day. I've had 2 wins containing a £5 cheque and a DVD box set that i was going to buy! :j but i guess you should enjoy entering the comps and also enter the ones that you would like to win, i've seen people say that have won things that they don't really need!? don't see the point in that.
Also its nice to win things or get afew parcels or even a phone call but i find that its better to never get your hopes up on because then the win is even better.
I still look at the guide's to comping posted like you have said Polo & sandstormer and found out after having a blonde moment that i was thanking people using the tab button then going back on the page DOH!
Anyway Good Luck to all and happy comping........GOOD TIMES
