National Trust and Quidco

Hi,

This is primarily aimed at anyone that has joined National Trust through Quidco

Joined the National Trust through Quidco on 10 July. The transaction tracked immediately back to quidco. National Trust took their money last Monday (28 July) from my bank account.

Question: How long should it take now for the 'tracked' status to change to 'validated' (or 'denied')? I know they take a long time to pay up, but was wondering if my tracked transaction is taking a tad too long to move onto the next step. Just wondering how long I should wait before I raise the issue with Quidco.

I joined NT with Quidco in March and I have JUST been paid yesterday.... I think it validated after a week or too, but the actual BACS payment has taken a long time. Lucky for me it's a bonus and not money I was going to be needing straight away for bills or whatever.......

Now watch out for letters from NT trying to persuade you to take out a direct debit - i have had 3 so far. They want to be sure of next year's membership of course.

Personally I shall only be joining if I can get the Quidco deal again, - I like the houses and gardens but not enough to pay £50 odd pounds a year, + my family are now past the age of being intrigued by entertainers and treasure trails (Curses!).

I did join by re-occuring direct debit, but that was only to save the extra money (£34.50 instead of £46).

I have already made a reminder next June to cancel the direct debit, and let them know that I will not be continuing for another year.

Like you, I think £50 or so a year is too much, especially the way all the other bills and petrol are rising.
