I think this is good value for money. My aldi pc bought last year is working well and I have no complaints.0

I bought an Aldi laptop earlier in the year and the main problem is that it runs on Windows Vista, and doesn't have Microsoft Office which I need for all my spreadsheets, so in theory that would be another £80 (ish) I have to shell out. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0

Hi I bought a earlier model. Really good, runs quiet, the only problem was the motherboard went after about 18months and at that time they only had 1 year warranty, the motherboard was unique to medion and they no longer had them in stock. I had to use an alternative motherboard but lost some of the features of the computer.0

Is OpenOffice not sufficiently compatible with MS Office for your needs?0 -
monitor could be picked up cheap enough. Anyway most people have a monitor they can use.
You could probably build the system for cheaper, but this is out of most peoples skills0 -

That's what I was thinking of doing as I have a brand new Shuttle case that was given to me, the only problem is that I'd need to spend 200 pounds minimum and have no software or guarantee that it would work. I did a quick calculation for the parts on the Aldi system and came to 380 pounds for the processor, memory, graphics card, hard disc, cd/dvd drive, tv card - that leaves the case, motherboard, keyboard, mouse, other extras, software and warranty. I'm seriously tempted.0 -

All Medion Computers have always had a 3 year warranty. ( at Aldi )
My Medion Computer is just 3 years old, still going strong, no problems at all.0 -
I bought my pc from Aldi in March 2005, a Medion with three years guarantee, it was more money than this one,at £750 but it has been really good, no problems with it at all.
I could do with a laptop for taking with me when I travel and for using in another room, wouldn't hesitate to get another one from Aldi.0
