ADVICE ON LEXMARK 4650 wireless allinone printer

Hi folks,

Been thinking about buying a wireless printer for a wile as I now use a laptop around my home all the time these days. Saw this LEXMARK model in Tesco 2 days ago for 65quid or so (half price). I assum it will be easy to set up and I do not need to leave a PC on attached as this printer can just sit there consuming little power until it is called into action.

Just wondering if there are any better models around as I woulld prefer to buy a CANONor EPSON model and something that is cheap to run.

Appreciate any tips .... Must be an all in one printer. BUDGET 100quid tops.

It will do exactly what you say it will, I'd just say to turn off between uses though as it doesn't have great power saving. Minor inconvenience though really. The printers in the same range as this are much of a muchness really, but if it was me, I'd go for the 4650 as it's got an excellent set of features, stable wireless (up to 'n' if you need) and looks pretty nice,

Dunno if it's any different nowadays, but a few years ago lexmark ink was ludicrously expensive. I wouldn't touch them unless I was going to use refills.
They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it

lexmark ink is still expensive, and I think one of the few companies who don't do the (IMO) Money Saving, single ink tanks...

print out something with loads of yellow on... and you run out of only yellow in that cartridge, you still have to bin your magenta and cyan!!! single ink tanks are much better in the long term
