Landlords insurance question

Does anyone know what 'proofs' you need to convince an insurer that you have inspected your property adequately during 'vacant' periods?

There are 2 ways. One involves spending some money and the other involves spending LOTS of money.
Cheap way:
Buy yourself a little booklet and a parker fountain pen. Every time you go in to the property, record the date and time and your findings. If your insurers want a record of your attendence you have it and the ink can be dated to confirm its validity. If they go that far, change your insurers at renewal!!!
Expensive way:
Fit the home with a NACOSS approved alarm. This will record the date and time that the alarm is set and unset. In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0
