Bit confused - first sale

Hi-after many months of saying I really must do it, I finally got my act together with the camera and made a sale on e bay.Used pay pal, but after reading messages on here made sure it was trackable with recorded delivery. I can now see my payment sitting in my A/c on ppal. Stupid question I know, but how do I get it into my bank account??? :D I think I've been lucky with a great buyer but any words of warning for a total novice would be really appreciated. Can't see me going over the selling limits and need to upgrade a/c though...

To withdraw money just click on the withdraw icon in paypal and follow the instructions. I presume you have a personal account, if so you may not be able to recieve future payments if they are payed with a direct debit card or credit card directly .Just upgrade the account to premiere by going to setup an account and selecting "upgrade account".

You will be prompted to upgrade the account as and when you receive your first card payment. Theres no harm in keeping the basic account and getting a few more free payments in the mean time.

Masonic I still cant get my money out! They wont let me have it and over a week later I am still waiting for the pin number to see if that will fix the problem. Dont understand why I am having a problem, it just says I am allowed to withdraw $0.00 until I go through this process. Have been in and sorted out my new debit card number, had to upgrade to get a credit card payment, but no - I cannot withdraw my money!!!!!!!

Did I mention before that the PIN gets sent from America? I didn't have a touch-tone phone when I got verified, so I had to go down the postal route as well. I think it I finally got mine after nearly 2 weeks of waiting :wall:.

You don't happen to have a trusted friend with a basic paypal account that they can withdraw from, do you?

Thanks Masonic, I have been keeping a close eye on my bank account online and it seems that £1 seems to have been taken out v. recently, no sign of the transaction as yet, but this may be Paypal doing their thing at last!!!

I have used some of it up buying other stuff (thats another story) but it would be good to have it sorted for the future!

I had loads of trouble when I opened my paypal account with it not going in my bank and not being given pin numbers and all sorts. In the end I decided to share a paypal account with my bf and that works really well.
