You would be surprised how little you can manage on if you make yourself do it. I bet if you had £50 per week going straight out of that money you wouldn't miss and once you see it building up you will be reluctant to touch it. I can only afford to put £20 per month in my savings account but I refuse to use any of it no matter how short of cash I am. One day that will be enough for a holiday!
why not try giving yourself a challenge to keep track of your grocery and entertainment spending to try and reduce it? And limit yourself to only so much spending money per week, that makes a big difference!Debt busting! Jan 2014 £7632.50 £7445.80

Hi there
I have to agree with the folks about trying to put a bit aside if you can... I know im luck that i have €450 -about £360 a month housekeeping -(im an old fashioned gal
)..anyway there is only me n hubby and that money is simply for food, cleaning and toiletries -which i generally have stockpiled
.. now at one time i would spend whatever i had -just because it was there.. i think a lot of us do it.. the more you have the more you spend
So this month i have put €350 into my savings account and just left €100 in my current account for groceries etc -1 week in and not touched any of it yet ..fingers crossed
.. we have plenty of food in and i just want to get a little nest egg behind us...
the last lot i saved from previous grocery challenges paid to get the car sorted when it played up and a new expensive golf club for hubbies birthday... :T
right enough waffle i will get off...-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50
