There could be a few reasons why your RCCD is tripping:-
The oven element has blow.
The wiring or thermostat to the oven may be faulty.
But my guess is that as the cooker has not been used for sometime the oven element(s) might have become damp, this is not a dangerous fault as such, but can cause the RCCD to trip and is very annoying, you could try drying it out by putting a fan heater on a low setting in front of the open oven for 30 mins or so.
Unfortunately if your oven doesn’t spring into life within the next week then it looks like the problem could be either of the other reasons and you will need a service engineer.0 -
many thanks for all your answers. The grill and rings work fine together as we found out yesterday, this doesn't trip the electric so its definatly a problem with the oven0
