Everyone - please - if you can.............................complain about the Tattoo.
I am in total agreement with the lack of 'spicy stuff'. Audience participation is just a must in this show and it really really needs to be more exciting. I love the Pipes and Drums but it definitely needs more than that. Did you know that the Norwegians that were performing each night also have to scrub their stairs in the barracks each day - and they are inspected. I agree - they were the best - and I told them so!!! Their uniforms were soaked every night and of course they couldnt put them in a tumble drier so they normally went on damp the next night. Not good.................felt so sorry fo the performers. It wasn't too bad for most of us - we only had one night in the rain - but think of them - they had to do it every night for 3 weeks and I think they only had 3 performances without rain.
I asked on Friday if the Tattoo was already 'sorted' for next year and the answer was yes. Hope to god they have a variety of acts otherwise people will stop coming and we dont want that.
As I said at the beginning - complain to the Tattoo organisers. If you just write to the MD, Edinburgh Mil Tattoo, Edinburgh Castle it will get there.

I'd imagine all the soldiers from the tattoo living in the barracks will have some duties to do each day after all its just a working day for them
The weather has been a terrible shame to the tattoo this year with such torrential rain but you can watch it tonight in the comfort of your own home on BBC1 at 6.30.
Plenty of pipes and drums to raise the hairs on the back of your neck
