Anyone switched to making 'single' payments for monthly savers?

I ask because HSBC/First Direct (and probably the other banks too) are delaying the use of Faster Payments on standing orders for some months still..... I]HBOS may be the first to bring in SO faster payments this month?[/I

Making 'single payments' from HSBC to accounts whose details have been saved is a simple (I would say 'almost pleasureable') task to perform. I can jack the Money in from Lloyds or Tesco higher interest paying accounts and then just make the payments.

Does anyone else now take the small bit of trouble entailed to pay their 'standing orders' like this - or do you all forgo four days interest on the amounts moved by automated standing orders [Fri 1st to arrive Tues 5th]?
.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam

All mine are paid like that. I will not have cash "in transit" over a weekend. That's why I started doing it that way and "faster payments" mean I will continue.
