Are CCard companies getting bullish again?

after we have all had to work hard over the last 12 months to get ever scarcer deals, do we think we are turning a corner?

i have over £30k stoozed on 4 cards at min, a further card with a £25k limit but nothing on it (first direct who wont play on new deals!!) and yet have just been given a £9,200 credit on a recent abbey zero card application.

maybe things are getting better and the banks are realising they need to bring the business back if they want to continue the big profits.

Funny you should say that. I've been trying to build up a good stooze pot and struggled to get a credit limit of £5000 in April/May. Applied for a virgin money cc on tuesday and instantly got £10k without a fight!

I think this may depend on the company. HSBC gave me 2500 back in January, but Virgin happily gave me 10000 in May. My credit rating can't have changed much in that time and in fact my available credit was higher when Virgin looked due to the HSBC deal.

There is no rhyme or reason to it, but credit is there for those who they don't see as a risk, and always has been.
