NP Power statement
Hopefully I managed to get on the SP capped rate first thing Monday morning - Ive just had a dual fuel statement from Npower my current supplier telling me that my monthly direct debits are going to double! They reckon at the monthly payments Ive been making I now owe them about £560.

They might not let you leave with that balance.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0

Sadly, Joyful is correct. It's likely they'll "object" to your leaving unless you pay that balance off in full!0

Its not uncommon for the DD to increase once an actual reading has been taken - mine more than doubled to cover the debt I had incurred over the previous 6 months. I left NPower owing them about £500, electricity moved no problem (giving me a final bill for the electricity part), and gas still pending due to delays with the gas transporter (not Transco).. So being in debt should stop you moving, however you will get a bill for the outstanding amount shortly after moving.0

just pay off the balance now and you should be fine0

Ill have to wont I - but some poor devils may not have that sort of money to pay off this. I do wonder if its anything to do with my application to switch.0
