Advice please about Tunisia

Hi there.

I am due to fly to Tunisia next Wednesday for a weeks holiday with my two children. I was looking on the post office website last night regarding currency exchange and found that they don't change sterling into Tunisian Dinars. I mentioned this at work today and was told by someone that you cannot take dinars into or out of Tunisia. Can anyone tell me if this is correct? I would prefer to be organised and have some local cash on me when I travel and maybe leave the rest to my card but this colleague said that you have to change money once over there in banks or hotels and then you have to spend it before you get to the airport because they wont change it back for you and they will not let you on the aeroplane with it.

Thank you for any advice you can give me.
