Sam is a six-foot dog in a baggy suit sporting a trombone-sized .44 hand-cannon. Max is a three foot "rabbity thing" with a saw blade grin and the impulsive nature of the average piranha. Together they patrol the sticky streets of a fantastical New York City, righting wrongs, pummelling perps, and ridding the urban landscape of the shifty legions of "self-propelled gutter trash" that litter their streets.
The History Of Sam & Max
Sam & Max was originally a comic book created by Steve Purcell in 1987. In 1993 a game was developed called "Sam & Max Hit The Road". Nothing was heard of from Sam & Max until 1997 when Fox Kids developed an animated TV series. In 2004 LucasArts announced a follow-up game called "Sam and Max Freelance Police". This was never released by the company.
In 2005 Steve started working with Telltale Games to publish new comic strips online and then in Autumn 2006 the first interactive instalment was released. TellTale are currently working on a 3rd season of Sam & Max .

The Season 2 DVD and Graphic Novel are so exclusive they are not currently available in the UK. You can purchase items and find the answer to the competition question on their website www.telltalegames.com. Season 1 can be purchased in the UK for Wii and PC and is distributed in the UK by JoWood.
