I had to ring them today regarding a problem with an order. Was amazed to see they have an 0800 number (rather than 0870) which was answered almost immediately by a helpful operator. Problem sorted in a couple of minutes.

I LOVE Amazon - they have never let me down (even with really short notice orders. Only ever had one (very minor) problem with them and it was sorted - no quibble. They are the best!

Although not directly to do with Amazon as such, I have just had a pleasant surprise while buying a second-hand book via them. Because the book arrived so quick I left 5 star feedback for the seller. I then received an e-mail from him saying that he has policy of giving a complete refund to every 100th person who leaves positive feed-back. I happened to be number 600 and sure enough the money was refunded to my credit card . I know it was a small gesture and only £4.75 but even so it makes you feel good. BTW I have donated the money to the Oxfam Sudan appeal.

I use Amazon all the time and if I have ever had a problem they have dealt with it so quickly and well, which makes me keep on using them. It's a pity more companies do not adopt this attitude.

Only have good words for Amazon. Been using them for years - replaced DVD's that didn't work (years later found out it was the DVD player that was to blame), honoured dubiuosly good deals - Sony Attrac player & (free) DVD player. ::)
Don't feel too guilty as I must have spent £1k+.

Made my first order with them late on Sunday for 2 DVD box sets. Opted for free delivery which they quoted delivery by 9.12.04. They arrived this morning - brill.
