you just buy the stansted express ticket with the zones of the underground added on. They do this at the ticket desk in the airport dont know about online though.0

If you are flying and maybe if your cheeky if your not.... you can buy Stansted express tickets via Ryanairs website for 10 pounds single or 19.50 return. Saving 5 pounds each way.

If your just going into London thats not a bad deal if you prefer the train to the cheaper coaches.
Another cheap idea is to get the 510 bus and make changes to join the tube at epping catching the central line into town. Can be a bit slow.... so only for the time rich.
Other options if you are travelling to destinations outside of london http://www.gner.co.uk/GNER and seeing if its cheaper to get one ticket for your complete journey. I recently found a single from stansted to frome in somerset for 18 pounds.0
