What's the best way to save for kids for high-rate tax payers please?
I've read Martin's articles but not very clear on what limits to exhaust in what fashion.
I'm planning/hoping to utilize all tax free allowance available.
Would be very glad if I can receive some help in planning please.

I have opened kids accounts with HSBC. They pay an OK amount of interest. When they are 11 they get online banking, at 13 a solo account & 18 the account turns into a proper chequing account.
Sign the IR form and the kids get their interest tax free.
I know other banks do a similar thing but I like HSBC."Brevity is the soul of wit and it is also the essence of effective communication" Rush Limbaugh.0 -
Thank you but I'm looking to find the limits to which I can save tax free.0

I am in the same boat as you but have discovered myeggnest.com which is a real help plus they write for mumknowsbest.co.uk who have regular up-dates and features on this...I love both these sites and use them a lot! They cover the Child Trust Fund vouchers, saving for private school fees and saving for your children to have something at the end of the day -0
