Egg Anniversary 0% offer & Double Cash Back

Having had an Egg card for some time, I am using the anniversary 0% for 5 months offer. However Egg keep sending me emails, about double cash back @ 20% for selected retailers.

Why this cash back seems to be an excellent offer, the minute you spend on your card, then their high interest rates will apply to these spends, as all payments being made, pay off the 0% balance first.

I am sure that this is a new tactic that Egg are using, so that they can charge you interest on these purchases.

My solution, take your Egg card out of your wallet, and securely leave it at home until the 0% has finished and you have moved your balance to another 0% card.
