Moving an Alarm sensor...help/advice

I had a professionally fitted alarm with tamper features on the main unit and sensors.
I recently had some plastering done and one of these rooms sensors came off the wall when removing the plaster. I now want to refit the sensor but remember the installer saying that these sensors have a anti tamper facility.
I am right in thinking that as long as the alarm is not activivated i can take the sensor apart to access the screws and replace it on the wall without affecting the anti-tamper?????
Thanks in advance

If you mean the power is off and the backup battery in the main unit is removed you will be ok (that also has a tamper sensor).
Don't you have the password to service the unit?0 -
Hi
I have got the PIN number for the alarm...so i need to turn the power completely off and remove the backup battery before attempting to refit the sensor???
As long as i have the PIN, will i be able to turn it off if i need to reset the system. Its a micromark system if that helps
thanks0 -
It may be easier to just take the cover off the sensor and refit it. The alarm will go off when the cover is removed and probably when it is refitted. Using your pin should stop the tamper alarm on both occasions.0

with the alarm unset, remove the cover to the sensor, alarm will sound, reset alarm and fault light should remain with flashing strobe on bell box, secure sensor, refit cover, reset alarm, strobe and alarm should reset, set alarm, test sensor..
